I have been breeding Rhacodactylus geckos now since 2001. In that time I have produced quite a few crested, gargoyle, chahoua and sarasins geckos. This section is to show the various offspring that I have bred over the years, mainly focusing on 2008 which was my best year of breeding to date.
Anyway as they say on with the show!!!!
In 2001 I produced my first crested geckos, this first gecko is called Peanut, she is an orange tiger and was the very first crested gecko I bred. Her parents are Kane and Jasmine - Jasmine unfortunatly passed away in 2002 due to complications after an operation. Here is Peanut...
The year 2006 produced these four lovelies which I held onto as I knew I wanted to breed them and see what they produced.
Sage and Parsely are clutchmates who's parents are Lucerne and Turnip. Sage is an extreme harlequin and Parsley is a very good partial pinstripe.
Sage (R.I.P.)
Parsley
Cherry is a red/orange female that is absolutely stunning with gorgeous red eyes. Her parents are Kane and Spice.
The year 2007 saw the arrival of Willow. Willow fires up bright salmon pink and yellow - she is an amazing cresty. Her parents are Lucerne and Peanut.
In 2007 I produced some very pretty babies - we only held one back though which was Valerian. His father is Lucerne and his mother was Buttercup (Buttercup was an amazing gecko but unfortunately passed away during an operation as she was egg bound). Valerian is a yellow flame with dalmatian spots - this is a very old picture and needs updating.
In 2008 I produced some really stunning geckos and wanted to share them with you. All my babies are allocated numbers so I can refer back to my records to find any information I might need. So here they are!
I have only included one orange tiger on here although 7 were produced last year. They were all very similar so I thought a picture of one would show what the others look like. All of this years tigers were fathered by Adonis.
(A9.51) A lovely little tiger that fires up bright orange. Its parents are Adonis and Saffron.
(A9.52) This is the clutchmate of the above gecko! Its a stunning red harlequin and I have high hopes this one will make a beautiful adult.
(A7) This little one is a stunning cream flame, it could possibly develop into a creamsicle as it fires up bright orange with a cream dorsal - gorgeous!
(A9) An odd little flame - I am hoping this one might turn into something special. Its parents are Adonis and Willow.
(L6) Myrtle is a stunning yellow partial pinstripe. She was bred from Lucerne and Peanut.
(L8.1) This gecko is from my blonde project - when adult its dorsal should be creamy white and it already fires up almost jet black. This little one has gone to a new home as it is a male.
(L8.2) This is the clutchmate of the above gecko. He is a beautiful partial pinstripe blonde flame, He also has portholes down his sides.
(L12.1) The next two have the same parents as the above two. This one is a stunning extreme harlequin that luckily for me is a female.
(L12.2) The clutchmate of the above gecko. This little one is a stunning blonde partial pinstripe - yet again a male though so he is going to a new home very soon!
(L13.1) This little one is a partial pinstripe blonde. This gecko is so gorgeous - its parents are Lucerne and Sage.
(L13.2) This one is the clutchmate of the above gecko. It is a sweet little harlequin with partial pinstripes.
(L9) I have named this little one Thyme. She is a gorgeous partial pin with the purest white pins and an amazing amount of fringing around her head crests! I have such high hopes for this girl! Her dad is Lucerne and her mother is Turnip.
(L11) This gecko is a cream flame with portholes down the sides. Its parents are Lucerne and Daffodil.
(L10) A red flame with a cream dorsal - so pretty! Its parents are Lucerne and Peanut.
(L14) Another red flame, this one has deep orange flames rather than the creamy dorsal of the others - it is a beautiful gecko. Its parents are Lucerne and Peanut.
(L19.1) These next two are again from the blonde project - Lucerne and Sage are the parents, but they look completely different to the other babies produced by this pairing. They are very pretty though! This first one has tiny little markings down its back and should be a stunning harlequin adult.
(L19.2) The clutchmate of the above. This little one is in-between a flame and harlequin at the moment - though I feel its markings will develop though to class it as a harlequin. Its a very pretty little one at the moment and should look great when it grows up! It has slight partial pinning also with a lovely fringe of white around its head.
(L20) This next one is going to be a stunning adult - every shed it just keeps getting brighter and brighter!!! I am hoping it develops into a bright red and orange flame. Its parents are Lucerne and an unknown female as a number of eggs were laid together in a box so it could have been one of three females.
(K5and K6) These two are from the same parents but different clutches. The top one in the picture is a dalmatian, both of them fire up BRIGHT red/orange!!!!
(K1) Berry was the first baby to be produced in 2008 and is staying with me. She is a stunning red/orange and her parents are Kane and Spice.
(C3) Crocus is a little one bred from Cactus and Snowdrop. I have high hopes she will develop the large crests like Cactus. She is a lovely flame morph.
(P2) Mallow is one of my favourite geckos of 2008. She is a yellow/orange partial pinstripe with dalmatian spots also with an AMAZING head structure! She is a big girl for her age too. Her parents are Parsley and Ginger.
(P3.1) This is as yet an unnamed gecko. She is a stunning extreme harlequin with dalmatian spots. Her parents are also Parsley and Ginger.
(P3.2) This is the sibling of the above! Its unbelievable that two completely different geckos can be clutchmates! Nightshade is the name of this one and I am quite excited to announce the Nightshade is a Phantom pinstripe.
(P4.1) Again there are two from this clutch. Their parents are Parsley and Ginger. This first one is a lovely little partial pinstripe with dalmatian spots.
(P4.2) The clutchmate of the above gecko. This one is very similar to the above gecko except it has no spots - it seems that when Ginger and Parsley are paired up one baby always gets spots and one does not - strange!
